A Brief History
The Journey that Became House of Shine
With over 30 years experience in the field of higher education, Dr. Claudia K. Beeny envisioned a dream—a dream dedicated to empowering individuals to uncover their uniqueness and radiate their shine for the greater good.
In 2014, this dream became reality and manifested as House of Shine, a leadership development nonprofit. Our mission is to strengthen communities by growing confident, self-aware and resilient leaders that are equipped with a deep understanding of themselves and why their contributions to the world matter.
In 2020, the organization opened a self-discovery museum and community space in Grapevine, Texas – a physical manifestation of the organization’s dedication to fostering self-discovery and community engagement.
As the organization continues to spread its message, the need for expansion has become evident. Similar to the personal journey of discovering one’s Shine from within, House of Shine is launching a Capital Campaign to extend its reach by venturing beyond indoor spaces to create an outdoor area: The Dream Garden—a place where dreams take root and hope comes to life.
