Immerse yourself in this powerful training and professional credential program, where you will learn to apply Shine Methodology tools to create cultures where people use their talents and interests to meet both personal and professional goals.
This is an in-depth study of self that can be leveraged both professionally and personally. Upon completion, you will be equipeed to teach or facilitate House of Shine content at your place of business, school, or in your community.

Through our interactive museum of self-discovery, experiential curriculum, personal development and community-building programs, we empower leaders to uncover their SHINE—the Strengths, Hobbies, Interests & Irritants, Needs, and Experiences that make each of us unique.
House of Shine Academy
SHINE is more than a framework—it’s a philosophy for purpose-driven living.
Whether you’re an educator, coach, trainer, community leader, or just passionate about helping others thrive, Shineologist training equips you with the tools and insight to guide people in discovering who they are and why they matter.
Day 1: Foundations of SHINE
Unpack the research and inspiration behind the SHINE framework. Discover the principles that make self-awareness and community-building essential to leadership.
Day 2: SHINE in Action
Experience and get facilitator access to the three signature workshops: What’s Your Shine?, Life Maps, and Point of Intersection. Learn how to facilitate each and integrate tools like Serentripity™, and DO52™.
Certification Levels:
- Shine Certified – Attend Day 2 only
- Certified Shineologist* – Attend Days 1 & 2
*Includes: Shineologist jacket, full curriculum access, and a 1-year House of Shine Academy membership.

A Relentless Desire to Spread Shine
What you focus on expands. It’s as true for House of Shine’s story as it is for everyone our organization serves. Our founder, Dr. Claudia K. Beeny, began shaping the idea behind House of Shine in February of 2008, when she wrote the first post for her blog, HighLowAha. She began with the simple goal of sharing one creative idea a day for a year. However, the more she focused on creating, the more ideas came to her. She also began to explore the idea of promoting excellence, which requires greater self-awareness.
Soon, Claudia was hosting workshops and live events for women, children and parents, which led to the creation of the SHINE framework and the Principles of Shine. Next, she wanted to share the concept with young adults and educators, so she launched House of Shine, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, and began creating curriculum for K-12 students. House of Shine partnered with schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, the Girl Scouts and other nonprofit organizations to spread the Shine message. The content was good, but the House of Shine team soon realized that while schools were interested in teaching self-awareness, teachers already had so many other responsibilities, they did not have the time or resources to fully implement the Shine curriculum. House of Shine needed its own space.
In 2020—12 years after the seed for House of Shine was first planted—we broke ground on our self-discovery museum, located at 334 South Barton Street in Historic Downtown Grapevine, Texas. Now, we are focused on delivering the Shine message beyond schools and workshops, to anyone aged 5 to 95 who is interested in discovering their best self. House of Shine is one of the most unique things to do in Grapevine, and we hope you’ll visit us soon. This is our journey, and we are excited to hear about yours. We know that, like us, you will find that if you focus on your Shine, it will grow.
